KUWAIT

Mom got a call on Saturday evening from the USMC phone tree thing saying "all of the units have arrived safely in Fallujah." Then a call from Erick on Sunday morning saying, "Hi Mom, I'm in KUWAIT." It sounds like a VERY reliable military phone tree.

His calling card was running out and his debit card unfortunately isn't working so he couldn't buy a new card. So, they didn't get to talk long. He said the travel thus far had been on commercial airliners so they were very comfortable. He said Kuwait is beautiful. He is at a base in Kuwait and wasn't sure when he'd be going into Iraq. That was about the extent of it.

Charlotte- He wanted to call you too, but I don't know if he was able to. Hopefully one of his friends let him borrow a phone card.
