He's Going...

We got the news on Friday that Erick is headed for Iraq. Fallujah to be exact. He leaves for 29 Palms in California on January 3rd where he'll do desert training. After that he'll come home for a few days and then off to, as he calls it, "the sandbox". I found an on-line encyclopedia's blurb on Fallujah and will post it below. It has the basics about where our Marine will be.

Erick's Heart

A family in Ridgefield makes an American Flag heart for each of the town's active service people. Erick's girlfriend, Charlotte, emailed me a picture of Erick's heart. In case you're in Ridgefield and want to see it, Erick's heart is hanging on the first telephone pole past the entrance to Casagmo as you are headed from the library toward stop & shop.
